Mission Malwa: Story of Aarti

The young women of a small village named Hatpiplia in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh had to travel around 20 km to go to their coaching to clear the Police entrance exam. Not any more!

Aarati, a young woman from the village dreamt to have a centre in the village. She is on her way to establishing a community centre where she has made a collective of all the interested women and is beginning to start group training for them. They are also contributing to getting a trainer weekly who helps them with the curriculum.

Mission Malwa is a fellowship opportunity to support women like Aarati to realize their dream through need specific mentoring and a basic stipend to get them going. Plustrust and Mera Gaon Meri Dunia have dared to reimagine the grassroots scenario of rural women entrepreneurship in the Malwa belt.

If you know a rural woman with a dream that has a social impact, feel free to reach out to us at vasudha@meragaonmeridunia.org
